- Advise the CEO and leadership team on strategy, pricing, growth investments, and resource allocation.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Content leaders on budgets, performance tracking, and financial decisions.
- Lead the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial model.
- Support fundraising, investor relations, and board reporting.
- Own reporting on core SaaS metrics and build monthly management reporting and variance analysis.
- Model pricing and packaging changes, new products, and market expansion; manage cash flow forecasting, runway planning, and scenario analysis.
- Oversee close, subscription revenue recognition, billing, collections, accounts payable, payroll, expense management, and general ledger activities.
- Oversee the annual audit, tax compliance, outside advisors, banking relationships, debt covenant compliance, and equity administration.
- Design scalable processes and internal controls, optimize finance systems and CRM integrations, and support contract review and negotiations on financial terms.
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, set finance priorities, and promote financial literacy and accountability.
