- Manage, develop and support the assistive technology engineers through clear expectations, feedback and investment in their growth.
- Own delivery across two squads, including sequencing, scope, commitments and trade-offs.
- Give the business an honest view of what is achievable.
- Coach tech leads and squads to improve how they work.
- Build reporting that helps the team assess and improve delivery.
- Lead the team's use of AI in development alongside the Principal Engineer, including human review where it matters.
- Partner with product, design and commercial teams to direct engineering effort toward value for learners and institutions.
- Hold engineers accountable for engineering, security and compliance standards.
