Senior AI Engineer

Design and ship AI agent systems end to end, from early experiments through to production.
Own the data access layer, retrieval strategy, and integration with internal APIs and Metabase.
Build and own the evaluation framework from scratch, including golden datasets and regression harnesses.
Perform retrieval vs. generation failure analysis and mitigate risks like prompt injection and data boundary violations.
Set the technical direction for AI at Kota and lead agent architecture design.
Collaborate with the AI Product Lead to identify and surface new AI product opportunities.

Engineering at Kota

You will build the infrastructure making financial benefits as accessible as modern software. Our engineers tackle complex, multi-provider, multi-market pension systems using a modern stack. We rely on React Native for mobile experiences and React/Remix.js for responsive frontends. Our backend systems are powered by .NET 8, PostgreSQL, and Azure or AWS. You will thrive on designing robust systems, owning technical architecture, and creating developer-first APIs, all while embracing an AI-forward mindset to continuously innovate.
