- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or applicable outside sales experience.
- Ideally, 5+ years of outside sales and/or territory sales management experience in the commercial or industrial sector with electrical products.
- Ability to work remotely from a home office and travel 60% in the sales region, including overnight trips; a valid driver's license is required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage both technical and non-technical customers.
- Knowledge of commercial and contractor sales.
- High level of organizational and time management skills with minimal supervision.
- Experience with a customer relationship management system, preferably Salesforce.com.
- Strong preference for technical sales and value-based selling skills.
- Ability to navigate and walk active construction sites.
- Achieve sales goals for ERICO and ILSCO Commercial Electrical business in specified states by maintaining existing business and converting new business.
- Lead 3rd party sales agents, aligning their goals with territory strategy.
- Develop a multi-year sales strategy and tactical plan to identify and pursue new customers and key projects.
- Build relationships with key end-user customers and distributor partners.
- Influence end-user specifications to secure product approvals emphasizing technical advantages.
- Provide product training and technical presentations to contractors and distributors.
- Create product demand through proactive promotions.
- Support potential agent opportunities and quotes for various ERICO and ILSCO products.
- Launch new products in the market.
- Provide competitive feedback and market dynamics to improve solutions.
- Use Salesforce to manage the opportunity pipeline and communicate feedback.
