Create short-form video content for The Mary Sue's TikTok to increase reach, engagement, and followers.
Write concise, conversational, and engaging video scripts based on breaking news, trending stories, and original pitches.
Pitch original and timely video concepts across entertainment, politics, and internet culture.
Adapt existing written articles into platform-native videos that resonate with a social audience.
Record on-camera segments and/or voice-overs suitable for the subject matter.
Edit videos from start to finish using professional software, including visual elements like captions, graphics, and music.
Apply TikTok SEO practices, including keywords, hashtags, and on-screen text, to improve discoverability.
Analyze performance data and audience response to experiment with new formats.
Collaborate with the managing editor to identify multimedia opportunities.
