- Experience in the maintenance and repair of buses or heavy goods vehicles, including body, electrical, and mechanical or a complete PSV or HGV apprenticeship.
- Electrical diagnostic skills, ideally using Multiplex systems.
- Comfortable with diagnosing and repairing engines and transmission issues.
- Time served PCV/LGV Technician with a recognised qualification such as City and Guilds, BTEC or similar, or equivalent experience.
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable with a customer focused mindset, focusing on quality and accuracy, with completion at the highest of standards.
- Excellent self-organising and planning skills.
- Computer literate and able to use Microsoft packages.
- A Full UK Driving License
- Ensure maximum vehicle availability for our customers throughout the Northampton area.
- Diagnose problems, completing repairs in a health and safety conscious manner.
- Perform reactive and preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on the whole vehicle.
- Complete paperwork (such as service worksheets, timesheets and warranty claims), ensuring that jobs can be closed and invoiced in a timely manner. This includes uploading information to systems and occasionally writing technical reports.
- Ensure that the van is fully equipped with tools and parts on daily basis.
