- 5+ years of experience in Accounting across multiple accounting functions.
- 1+ years of experience in people management.
- Professional Accounting Designation (CPA, CMA or CGA).
- Strong working knowledge of financial statement preparation and corporate taxes.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and work in a team.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
- US GAAP knowledge an asset.
- Manage monthly reporting and the financial statement close process.
- Prepare and review reconciliations required to close the financial records on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements are reported monthly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support in year-end audits.
- Provide support for internal/external inquiries and special projects.
- Oversee accounts payable and operating expense functions, including payroll accruals.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and team performance.
