Senior Workday Finance Configurations Specialist

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, management, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience with Workday Financials in an implementation or administration role.
• At least 2 years providing post-production support for Workday Spend modules.
• Experience in Supply Chain Management or Transaction Tax is a plus.
• Expertise with Workday's core data model structure and ability to solve business challenges through calculated fields.
• Current or previous Workday certifications preferred.
• Experience managing process improvement and system enhancement projects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Broad knowledge of accounting principles and financial data analysis.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Collaboration skills across platforms like Slack, Outlook, and Excel.
• Direct experience in procurement, accounts payable, or accounting is a plus.
• Experience with Adaptive Planning, Blackline, and NetSuite is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Workday Financials system across all modules including Financial Accounting, Banking & Settlement, Customer Accounts, Procurement, Supplier Accounts, Business Assets, Employee Expenses, Projects, and Reporting.
• Serve as the primary point person for support tickets, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Maintain and update master data, reports, business processes, and security assignments.
• Collaborate with Finance Systems and HRIS teams for continuous system improvement.
• Enforce security and user access controls and configure security across business processes.
• Develop Workday reporting and analytical tools as per business needs.
• Act as a Workday system expert supporting inbound and outbound integrations.
• Manage testing and implementation of new features from Workday's semi-annual releases.
• Organize projects and facilitate design sessions, configuration, testing, and cutover.
• Identify opportunities for team improvement and assist in implementing changes.
