Job Details

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of previous multi-line telephone experience or prior EMS experience
Required Skills: Microsoft OfficeCustomer service

Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Have at least one year of multi-line telephone experience or prior EMS experience.
Type at least 40 words per minute.
Demonstrate clear, professional verbal and written communication.
Have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and spreadsheet software.
Accurately take incoming requests while documenting information electronically.
Be able to work day, swing, and night shifts, including weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime as needed.
Be able to rotate shift assignments based on operational needs.
Pass the Customer Service Representative final exam after four weeks from the first scheduled shift.
Obtain EMD certification within six months of beginning employment.
Pass pre-employment background investigation and drug and alcohol screening.
Be able to sit for extended periods, wear a telephone headset, hear and communicate clearly, and read printed and screen-based information.

Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming service requests.
Triage undirected calls and direct them to the most appropriate resource.
Operate a multi-line computerized phone system and radio communication equipment.
Navigate multiple screens and programs while documenting phone and radio communications in a CAD program.
Communicate with callers and effectively manage difficult interactions.
Develop familiarity with company service areas and medical facilities.
Coordinate patient referrals and transport in accordance with company and customer policies.
Attend mandatory meetings and training.
