Requirements
- Bring 10+ years of experience building production web applications.
- Have 6+ years of experience with Python and Django.
- Have working knowledge of data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system design.
- Write clearly and work asynchronously across time zones.
- Demonstrate self-direction and follow-through.
- Experience with DRF and/or django-ninja is a strong plus.
- Production experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, or Redis is a strong plus.
- Postgres tuning and query analysis experience is a strong plus.
- Kubernetes and AWS experience is a strong plus.
- Experience with Stripe, identity providers, or other third-party API integrations is a strong plus.
- Experience with HTMX and/or React is a strong plus.
- Experience in consumer privacy or an adjacent industry is a strong plus.
- Experience getting value from AI coding assistants such as Claude Code is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop features for APIs powering the consumer dashboard and customer reporting.
- Build and maintain the Django backend for the consumer dashboard and B2B platform.
- Improve performance and reliability in Celery and RabbitMQ pipelines.
- Integrate third-party services, including payment and identity providers.
- Review code and participate in code reviews with the backend team.
- Own features from development through production and investigate issues after launch.
- Contribute to product and technical direction with the founders.
