Requirements
- Strong data engineering experience, including data modeling, transformation, and integration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-based data solutions.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience using Python for data processing, querying, validation, and automation.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
- Experience with data mapping and transformation logic.
- Understanding of system architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and data integration patterns.
- Ability to read and interpret system architecture diagrams and technical specifications.
- Experience with GitHub or another version control system.
- Understanding of SDLC processes and Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira.
- Familiarity with secure handling of sensitive financial data and PII.
- Ability to gather and document functional and non-functional requirements and create technical documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate needs into functional and non-functional requirements and technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain data models, mappings, and transformation logic for source-to-target integrations.
- Build, test, and maintain AWS ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Use Python to process, validate, query, and automate data workflows.
- Analyze architecture diagrams and technical specifications to identify data exchanges, integration points, and gaps.
- Maintain data-flow and mapping documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Scrum or Kanban processes and track activities and deliverables in Jira.
- Manage code, scripts, and technical documentation using GitHub or another version control system.
- Support UAT, data integrity validation, defect resolution, and secure handling of sensitive financial data and PII.
