Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Have at least 6 years of professional software development experience.
- Have experience shipping customer-facing product features end to end.
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot hands-on every day on production work, with concrete examples of their effect on your output and how you maintain quality.
- Have strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.
- Have experience designing and building APIs and services, ideally with Node.js.
- Have good testing practices and comfort working across a polyglot codebase that includes Ruby.
- Have experience with a major cloud platform; AWS is preferred.
- Have experience with CI/CD that deploys directly to production and observability tooling.
- Have a track record of measuring work through A/B tests, product metrics, or clear before-and-after results.
Responsibilities
- Ship end-to-end features across the consumer marketplace, Admin tools for dispensaries and brands, and supporting Node.js and Rails services.
- Use Claude Code, shared skills, and autonomous coding agents to plan, write, test, and review code.
- Own the quality of shipped work through clear designs, tests, careful review, and telemetry.
- Break epics into scoped tickets and write specifications and context for agents and teammates.
- Partner with Product and Design to turn ambiguous problems into plans and focus on outcomes.
- Modernize the stack by moving features from Rails and legacy Elixir services into Node.js microservices and React Native, using feature flags and gradual rollouts.
- Build AI-powered product features, including search, recommendations, and catalog data quality improvements.
- Share AI workflows, support engineers who are newer to AI tools, and improve the shared agent platform.
- Take part in on-call for owned services and fix problems at their root.
