Have 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator managing enterprise-scale production environments.
Bring practical PostgreSQL expertise, including master-replica architectures, failover mechanisms such as Patroni, replication, and performance diagnostics using EXPLAIN plans and pg_stat_statements.
Have hands-on experience with distributed MongoDB, including sharding, shard balancing, replica set elections, aggregation pipeline tuning, and WiredTiger optimization.
Have expertise in enterprise backup and recovery architectures.
Have a strong Linux systems administration background, including performance troubleshooting, storage and IOPS analysis, memory management, and networking.
Have experience with database observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix.
Have practical experience with disaster recovery and business continuity frameworks, automated failovers, and recovery exercises.
Have scripting and automation skills with Bash, Python, Ansible, and Git.
Be willing to participate in paid on-call rotations and travel occasionally to data centers.
Have Polish proficiency sufficient for fluent communication and technical English proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
Previous MS SQL or MySQL experience is a plus.
Familiarity with Kubernetes database operators, Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code workflows, database security and compliance, or relevant PostgreSQL or MongoDB certifications is a plus.

Administer, configure, and maintain production PostgreSQL clusters, including streaming replication, connection pooling, and high-availability setups.
Manage distributed MongoDB environments, including sharded clusters, replica sets, and query routing with mongos.
Tune database performance and plan capacity by identifying bottlenecks, optimizing queries and indexes, configuring database engines, and adjusting OS-level storage I/O parameters.
Design, maintain, and automate backup and recovery strategies, including Point-in-Time Recovery, for relational and document databases.
Plan and execute business continuity and disaster recovery drills, failover testing, and data restoration drills.
Administer databases at the Linux level, including kernel tuning, memory allocation, storage diagnostics, and system hardening.
Automate database maintenance, monitoring, deployments, and routine DBA tasks using Ansible, Python, and Bash.
Visit data centers in Poland and across Europe for infrastructure rollouts, recovery tests, or diagnostic operations.
Collaborate with development, platform, and security teams on data modeling, schema changes, and compliance.
