Requirements

  • Have professional experience developing and shipping native mobile applications for iOS and iPadOS.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Swift.
  • Understand mobile application architecture, software development principles, and debugging techniques.
  • Have experience optimizing mobile application performance.
  • Be familiar with HTTP, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Be able to navigate and contribute to large, sophisticated codebases.
  • Have practical experience writing, maintaining, and executing unit and integration tests.
  • Know software quality practices, including code reviews, bug resolution, testing strategies, and application performance monitoring.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Be willing to collaborate, mentor colleagues, exchange knowledge, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Have an interest in open-source development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and debug native iOS and iPadOS applications.
  • Write maintainable and scalable Swift code and contribute to existing codebases.
  • Implement new features and technical improvements in collaboration with engineering colleagues.
  • Maintain software quality through code reviews, bug fixes, unit tests, and integration tests.
  • Investigate crashes and performance issues and improve application stability and reliability.
  • Design and implement experiments to understand user behavior and evaluate application features.
  • Coordinate development with cross-functional teams and geographically distributed engineering colleagues.
  • Share technical knowledge, mentor colleagues, and participate in code reviews.
  • Contribute to open-source development initiatives.
