Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related discipline; equivalent education and professional experience may be considered.
- 0–2 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in both French and English.
- Strong translation, editing, revision, and proofreading capabilities.
- Expertise in linguistic quality assurance, including identifying grammatical, stylistic, and terminology inconsistencies.
- Sound linguistic judgment and understanding of tone, context, and audience adaptation.
- Ability to advise and influence stakeholders on translation quality and language-related decisions.
- Ability to collaborate with external translation providers and give constructive feedback.
- Research and problem-solving abilities for complex terminology and specialized content.
- Ability to manage projects, prioritize multiple assignments independently, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with translation software, linguistic databases, and other language technology tools.
Responsibilities
- Translate, edit, revise, and proofread content across business units and geographical regions.
- Research terminology and maintain, update, and develop linguistic databases.
- Provide guidance on translation quality, linguistic accuracy, tone, and terminology.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to verify complex translated content.
- Review external translation providers’ deliverables and provide constructive quality feedback.
- Write, edit, and adapt content for specific regional and audience requirements.
- Coordinate translation projects, organize workloads, and complete assignments within deadlines.
- Identify opportunities to improve translation processes, workflows, and quality assurance practices.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to address linguistic needs.
