Requirements
- Hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license; a Structural Engineer (SE) license is preferred.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Have at least 8 years of progressive structural engineering experience.
- Have experience leading complex projects and interacting directly with clients.
- Demonstrate project management experience working with owners, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Be proficient with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, RAM, and RISA 3D.
- Have working knowledge of applicable building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.
- Work effectively in an office environment with frequent computer use.
- Be able to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of structural engineering projects from concept through construction.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and team resources.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and BIM professionals.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop structural solutions.
- Review and oversee engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Ensure project designs comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct structural assessments, feasibility studies, and site investigations when required.
- Strengthen client relationships and support the growth of the structural engineering practice.
