- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 8 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Bring strong knowledge and experience in at least one network domain, including its processes and applications.
- Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of a second network domain, including its enterprise interconnections and dependencies.
- Have expertise in network infrastructure, operations, and troubleshooting across physical and virtual environments.
- Have experience with network automation and software development to improve operational efficiency and infrastructure reliability.
- Analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Manage multiple technical priorities with strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Use creative and analytical thinking to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with technical teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation, support, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
- Maintain and optimize routers, switches, circuits, firewalls, wireless systems, and intrusion prevention devices.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability, and implement corrective actions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex networking problems with internal technical teams and external vendors.
- Apply expertise across multiple network domains and understand their enterprise interconnections.
- Improve network operations through automation, software development, and engineering practices.
- Contribute to the reliability, scalability, and security of infrastructure supporting sensitive operational missions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and integrate network solutions.
- Identify opportunities to use artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to improve network performance and operational efficiency.
- Share technical knowledge and improve network engineering standards and processes.
