Requirements
- Have solid experience with at least one programming language; the team uses Go, and familiarity with Python, Java, C++, Rust, or similar languages also translates well.
- Have experience delivering projects independently, from gathering requirements and brainstorming through shipping a product to customers.
- Have experience developing software that runs in the cloud or experience in systems engineering.
- Be able to write clean, robust, performant software that is maintainable by others.
- Be able to break complex challenges into modular solutions, deliver MVPs, gather data and feedback, and iterate.
- Bring strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teammates in a fully remote setup.
Responsibilities
- Influence the roadmap and product decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
- Work with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to define functional specifications, design solutions, and deliver value to users.
- Drive projects from initial ideation through production operations.
- Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning their reliability, performance, and availability.
- Participate in the backend alerting team's on-call rotation and maintain the reliability of the alerting stack.
- Contribute to the Grafana open-source project and participate in its community.
- Collaborate with other teams to deliver product features.
