Have at least 8 years of software or data engineering experience.
Have at least 2 years as a Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or Architect with responsibility for other engineers.
Bring expert production Python experience, including OOP, abstract base classes and interfaces, type hints, packaging, dependency management, and reusable libraries.
Have practical experience with Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, or Ports & Adapters, dependency injection, and interface-oriented design.
Have production experience with Snowflake.
Have practical experience with AWS.
Have experience designing CI/CD pipelines; GitLab CI or an equivalent is preferred.
Have practical Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
Have experience securely managing credentials, such as with HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or AWS Parameter Store.
Have a deep understanding of data governance, data warehousing, data transformation, and data ingestion / ETL.
Have advanced SQL skills.
Have experience with orchestration technologies such as Airflow or Dagster.
Have very good English skills for communicating with technical and business stakeholders.

Oversee and develop the Ports & Adapters / Hexagonal Architecture.
Design and maintain clean interfaces and keep the framework core technology-independent.
Design adapter and plugin architecture, including dependency injection mechanisms.
Build production-quality Python libraries and adapters.
Keep the framework independent of orchestration platforms and remove environment-specific dependencies.
Design secure integrations with secrets management systems.
Build adapters for data platform components, including warehouses, catalogs, observability, transformation, database migrations, access control, and secrets management.
Implement and develop CI/CD processes, containerization, and Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
Set engineering standards for testing, code review, branching, releases, and documentation.
Lead and mentor a three-person engineering team, break epics into implementation tasks, and oversee technical quality.
Transfer knowledge and take ownership of an existing complex Python codebase.
Work with architects, Product Owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into a technical roadmap.
