Requirements
- Have experience in data engineering, preferably with audio or speech data.
- Have strong Python skills.
- Have experience with dataset versioning tools, such as DVC.
- Have experience working with external data vendors or annotation/recording providers.
- Have experience with data quality control and acceptance processes.
- Understand GDPR, consent, and data licensing; biometric data knowledge is a plus.
- Be fluent in English.
- Knowledge of speech recording practices and audio formats is a nice-to-have.
- Experience in ML/AI data operations is a nice-to-have.
Responsibilities
- Manage speech data vendors, from sourcing and scoping to delivery.
- Define recording protocols, acceptance criteria, and quality control for deliveries.
- Plan and track data acquisition budgets.
- Build Python pipelines for audio and metadata processing and validation.
- Version datasets and keep their lineage clear.
- Ensure consent, licensing, and GDPR compliance for biometric data.
