Requirements
- Have several years of practical experience in Data Engineering, Data Governance, Data Quality, or data analysis on Google Cloud Platform.
- Have practical knowledge of data contracts, including defining contracts and quality requirements.
- Have experience with tools supporting contract automation, such as OpenAPI, JSON Schema, CI/CD tools, and data QA tools.
- Have experience analyzing, processing, and modeling data.
- Know data warehouse and Big Data solution architecture.
- Have advanced SQL query-writing skills.
- Familiarity with the ODCS standard and GCP ecosystem tools such as Spark, Python, Kubernetes, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Terraform, Looker, or Oracle is an advantage.
- Experience with data management tools such as dbt, Dataform, Knowledge Catalog, or Data Catalog is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Implement, deploy, and maintain data contracts in GCP based on agreed specifications, architecture, and standards.
- Implement and update data schemas and validation rules to meet quality requirements agreed with data owners and technical teams.
- Implement automated schema and data-contract validation and help integrate these mechanisms into CI/CD processes.
- Write SQL queries to analyze data, verify quality requirements, and identify contract violations.
- Analyze, process, and model data to define and implement contracts in data warehouse and Big Data solutions.
- Work with product teams, Data Engineering, BI, and data owners to agree requirements, define contracts, and resolve identified issues.
- Contribute to selecting tools for contract automation and improving contract creation, update, and maintenance processes.
