Requirements
- Have 5+ years of website design experience.
- Provide a portfolio of live ecommerce sites, ideally Shopify, that demonstrates creativity and strong visual taste.
- Show experience elevating established ecommerce brands while retaining what already works.
- Be very experienced designing with AI image, layout, and site-building tools.
- Be strong in Figma and mobile-first design.
- Build clear design systems that developers and AI tools can extend without guesswork.
- Understand conversion-led design, including hierarchy, proof, calls to action, and speed.
- Be fluent in English.
- Be available to start within the next few weeks and turn feedback around quickly.
- DTC or pet brand experience is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Review both websites, brand guidelines, and competitors, then present 2–3 web directions per brand within the first two weeks.
- Build a mobile-first web design system in Figma for both brands, including typography, color, spacing, components, and section templates.
- Design 8–10 signature sections per brand for mobile and desktop.
- Apply conversion principles to each section, including clear visual hierarchy, a main action, benefits, proof, and fast, thumb-friendly mobile layouts.
- Check built pages against the designs before launch.
- Launch major new sections as split tests in collaboration with the CRO Lead.
- Hand over clean Figma files, assets, usage rules, and a short walkthrough.
- Review the first new sections the team builds with AI using the design system.
