Requirements

Have 5+ years of website design experience.
Provide a portfolio of live ecommerce sites, ideally Shopify, that demonstrates taste and creativity.
Show experience elevating established ecommerce brands while retaining what already works.
Be very experienced designing with AI image, layout, and site-building tools.
Build clear, extendable design systems in Figma.
Have strong Figma skills.
Use mobile-first design.
Understand conversion-led design, including hierarchy, proof, calls to action, and speed.
Be fluent in English.
Be available to start within the next few weeks and turn feedback around quickly.
DTC or pet brand experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Review both sites, brand guidelines, and competitors, then present 2–3 web directions per brand within the first two weeks.
Build mobile-first Figma design systems for both brands, including typography, color, spacing, components, and section templates.
Design 8–10 signature sections per brand for mobile and desktop.
Give each section a clear visual hierarchy, a main action, benefits, and proof, with fast, thumb-friendly mobile layouts.
Launch major new sections as split tests with the CRO Lead.
Check built pages against the designs before launch.
Hand over clean Figma files, assets, usage rules, examples, and a short walkthrough.
Review the first new sections the team builds from the system with AI.
