Requirements
- Have 5+ years of website design experience.
- Provide a portfolio of live ecommerce sites, ideally Shopify, that demonstrates visual taste and creativity.
- Show experience making established ecommerce brands more premium and distinctive while preserving what works.
- Be very experienced designing with AI and use AI image, layout, and site-building tools regularly.
- Be strong in Figma and mobile-first design.
- Understand conversion-focused design, including hierarchy, proof, calls to action, speed, and CRO principles.
- Be fluent in English.
- Be available to start within the next few weeks and turn feedback around quickly.
- Bonus: DTC or pet brand experience.
Responsibilities
- Review both websites, brand guidelines, and competitors, then present 2–3 web directions per brand within the first two weeks.
- Build a mobile-first web design system in Figma for both brands, including type, colour, spacing, components, and section templates.
- Design 8–10 signature sections per brand for mobile and desktop.
- Apply visual hierarchy, a clear main action, benefits and proof, and thumb-friendly mobile layouts to each section.
- Launch major new sections as split tests with the CRO Lead.
- Check built pages against the designs before launch.
- Hand over clean Figma files, assets, usage rules, and a short walkthrough.
- Review the first new sections the team builds from the system using AI.
