Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Have at least 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field.
- Have hands-on experience with Go and/or Python.
- Have strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Have hands-on experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Have strong experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
- Have an excellent understanding of distributed databases and SQL; ClickHouse experience is a plus.
- Bring production debugging skills and problem-solving ability.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement scalable, secure, highly available systems for ClickHouse.
- Establish and manage service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for ClickHouse Cloud.
- Ensure infrastructure components have monitoring and alerting for timely incident detection and resolution.
- Enhance incident response processes and post-mortem analysis for outages, including customer communications with the support team.
- Continuously improve the reliability and performance of ClickHouse services.
- Plan and drive chaos initiatives across engineering teams based on internal priorities.
- Manage on-call processes and establish escalation practices to resolve performance and reliability issues and minimize downtime.
