Requirements
- Have built and run backend services in production.
- Be comfortable working backend-first.
- Have shipped production web code with React.
- Be able to maintain and scale an existing web application.
- Have integrated external providers or SDKs.
- Know how to design integrations so a single provider does not lock the service in.
- Be able to own changes across backend and web.
- Ruby experience is a plus, not a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Replace the tightly coupled identity verification solution with a provider-agnostic service, primarily using Ruby and some Go.
- Improve the customer path from KYC started to KYC submission across backend and web.
- Integrate provider SDKs in the browser and handle the errors they return.
- Keep the web integration running as usage scales.
- Design integrations so a single provider does not lock the service in.
- Partner with the staff web engineer on architecture and complex integrations.
