Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production software.
- Have strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
- Be able to work across different systems and technologies.
- Understand modern frontend architecture, including component design, state management, and performance.
- Have experience with API design, message queues such as SNS/SQS or RabbitMQ, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Be proficient with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
- Bring a product engineering mindset and focus on customer impact.
- Demonstrate ownership, initiative, and accountability for results.
- Have a track record of leading complex projects from technical design through production rollout.
- Have strong unit, integration, and other testing habits.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, Product, Design, and other stakeholders; share knowledge and give and receive constructive feedback.
Responsibilities
- Own problems end to end, from discovery and design through production and iteration.
- Build, test, and maintain clean, scalable, and maintainable features across the stack.
- Build frontend applications with React, TanStack Router, and modular-react.
- Build backend applications with Node.js, Fastify, and Drizzle.
- Work in a Dockerized TypeScript environment using Vitest and Playwright for testing.
- Partner with Product and Design to shape customer-focused product work.
- Champion AI-native engineering across the software development lifecycle.
- Take part in the on-duty rotation for responsible services and lead reliability improvements.
- Mentor other engineers and champion engineering excellence.
