Requirements
- Hold a university degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Have 3+ years of experience in translation, review, or localization.
- Have native fluency in Punjabi.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Understand localization processes and review workflows.
- Be proficient with Windows and MS Office.
- Have hands-on experience with CAT tools such as XTM, SDL Studio, PolyGlot, MateCat, ATMS, or fbCAT.
- Have experience with query or issue management tools such as JIRA.
- Be able to learn and adapt to new localization tools.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and strong review and editing skills.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to linguists.
- Have knowledge of terminology management in one or more subject areas.
- Be able to work under tight deadlines and handle varied linguistic issues.
- Be willing and able to train and mentor others when required.
Responsibilities
- Translate, review, and perform quality assurance on Punjabi translation tasks.
- Copy-edit content and conduct linguistic checks for accuracy, consistency, and style adherence.
- Provide feedback to translators and freelancers to improve quality.
- Maintain glossaries, style guides, and work instructions.
- Respond to linguistic queries from translators and project managers.
- Clarify terminology, style, and linguistic issues within the translation team.
- Support onboarding, development, and training of linguists and freelancers.
- Contribute to the development of review and quality processes.
- Meet or exceed quality and productivity KPIs.
