Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Previous e-commerce accounting experience managing transactions and reconciliations across online sales and payment platforms.
- Leadership experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, Senior Accountant, or in a comparable position.
- Strong understanding of accounting operations, financial reporting, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Hands-on experience reviewing and managing transactions from Shopify, Stripe, Amazon, and TikTok Shop.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, and Power Query.
- Experience improving accounting processes, optimizing workflows, and implementing automation initiatives.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop accounting teams.
- Advanced to fluent English proficiency, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, international working environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure accurate, timely financial operations.
- Lead the month-end closing process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial records.
- Manage accounts receivable and oversee financial reconciliations.
- Review, monitor, and reconcile transactions across Shopify, Stripe, Amazon, and TikTok Shop.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and performance analyses.
- Analyze financial information, identify trends and discrepancies, and recommend actions.
- Improve accounting workflows, internal controls, reporting accuracy, and automation.
- Manage, supervise, and mentor accounting team members.
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders on financial planning, budgeting, strategy, and operational decisions.
