Requirements
- Be a currently matriculated undergraduate student.
- Be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship.
- Have excellent written communication skills and explain technical topics in clear, plain language for different audiences.
- Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple deliverables and track issues.
- Be comfortable learning new software and digital tools quickly.
- Have experience creating documents, presentations, or other materials using tools such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrate a commitment to user-centered design and digital content accuracy.
- Have familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress.
- Be committed to advancing the ACLU’s mission.
- Work collaboratively and respectfully toward resolving obstacles and conflict.
Responsibilities
- Build working knowledge of WordPress publishing tools and how national staff and affiliates use them.
- Create, publish, and maintain help articles, how-to guides, FAQs, and quick-reference resources.
- Review microsite setup, content, navigation, and formatting against best practices; document issues and recommendations.
- Draft release notes, feature announcements, and web updates for Product team review.
- Create decks, documents, training materials, and product walkthroughs for users and internal teams.
- Gather user questions and feedback and summarize recurring themes for the Product team.
