Requirements
- Have a minimum of 8 years of professional backend development experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud development.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and server-side development within the SFCC ecosystem.
- Have practical experience with SFCC Business Manager, Jobs, Pipelines, and Controllers.
- Bring expertise in Commerce API, Open Commerce API (OCAPI), and third-party system integrations.
- Understand microservices architecture, cloud-based solutions, and scalable application development.
- Have experience using version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket.
- Be familiar with Agile development methodologies and cross-functional teamwork.
- Understand backend architecture, application performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
- Have analytical and problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting complex technical challenges.
- Have communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
- Be able to work independently, manage priorities, and contribute in a remote development environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain backend functionality in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, including business logic, customizations, and platform enhancements.
- Extend, customize, and optimize Salesforce Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA) for scalable backend services.
- Develop and maintain integrations with payment gateways, Order Management Systems (OMS), and other external platforms.
- Implement and optimize APIs and integration solutions using Commerce API, OCAPI, and related technologies.
- Improve backend performance through caching strategies, code optimization, and development best practices.
- Ensure backend applications meet security requirements and relevant industry standards.
- Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and promote maintainable development practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, technical bottlenecks, bugs, and potential security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, product managers, and project stakeholders on commerce solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development team members.
