Requirements
- Have substantial experience building and supporting software in a collaborative engineering environment.
- Bring advanced backend experience in Node.js, Python or Kotlin, or full-stack experience with modern frontend frameworks.
- Understand APIs, microservices, distributed systems and software architecture.
- Have experience with automated testing, performance testing and system monitoring.
- Have hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Have experience with CI/CD, containers and infrastructure as code.
- Have experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modelling and performance optimisation.
- Understand security best practice.
- Explain technical ideas clearly and work well with people in different roles.
- Be interested in mentoring engineers, code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities
- Design and build complex software solutions, writing clean, testable code.
- Own features from initial design through deployment and production support.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical discussions.
- Improve performance through monitoring, caching and load testing.
- Build quality in through unit, integration and performance testing.
- Review code, mentor less experienced engineers and share knowledge through documentation and team sessions.
- Work with engineering and product colleagues to deliver useful, well-tested outcomes.
- Explore how AI development tools can support work and where AI could add value to products.
