Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and practical experience building backend applications with JVM technologies.
- Experience designing scalable software systems, ideally within a SaaS product environment.
- Understand containerization, microservices, event-driven architectures, cloud computing, and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of Spring Boot and Hibernate.
- Knowledge of JUnit and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with AWS services, including SES and Lambda.
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch and MySQL.
- Knowledge of Docker and OpenAPI.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
- Advanced written and spoken English proficiency for effective communication in a remote, largely asynchronous environment.
- Additional JVM languages such as Java, Groovy, or Scala; AWS EC2, RDS, SQS, and SNS; and Terraform are advantages.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to engineering projects developing and improving SaaS solutions.
- Design and evolve software architecture for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Design, implement, and maintain distributed services, backend systems, and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
- Write clean, scalable code and maintain a robust codebase.
- Develop and maintain automated test coverage.
- Improve platform availability and maintainability through architectural enhancements and optimization.
- Participate in code reviews, refactoring, and improvements to integration and delivery processes.
- Apply agile development practices.
