Requirements
- Be fluent in English and Spanish (B2/C1 Level).
- Have 5+ years of experience supporting production RHEL-like Linux servers and applications.
- Have general knowledge of common open-source applications such as NGINX, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Git.
- Have a general understanding of services such as DHCP, DNS, and NTP.
- Have 3+ years of experience with Ansible or similar configuration-as-code software.
- Be comfortable configuring OS images from scratch.
- Be comfortable building software from source and understanding dependencies, libraries, and linking.
- Have a background in remote management of large on-prem infrastructure, including servers, switches, and storage.
- Have Linux performance optimization skills.
- AWS production-environment experience is a nice to have.
- Experience with HPC cluster software such as Bright Cluster Manager, Univa Grid Engine, Slurm, EasyBuild, or Spack is a nice to have.
- Python, R, or similar scripting-language experience is a nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Manage HPC cluster configurations and Linux-based computation servers, and tune performance.
- Assist in resolving cluster performance issues and help design HPC jobs.
- Install, configure, and manage Linux systems and HPC-specific software.
- Apply consistent security configuration standards across the Linux infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain management and monitoring tools.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate deployment and configuration tasks.
- Provide technical support and guidance for Linux deployments.
- Build from source, install, configure, and manage Linux applications on the cluster.
