Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Hold an active Indiana or Virginia Mathematics teaching license with an endorsement for grades 6–12.
- Have experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings.
- Be able to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours per instructional day.
- Have hands-on experience with online learning platforms and virtual instruction tools.
- Have experience using student performance data to adjust instruction.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage a full student caseload remotely.
- Maintain certification and stay current on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.
- Be willing to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five or more hours per instructional day.
- Create an engaging and structured virtual classroom experience that supports student participation.
- Use student performance data to identify learning gaps and adapt instruction.
- Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work.
- Maintain accurate records to keep students and families informed.
- Build relationships with students and families through proactive communication.
- Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to support students.
