Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Hold an active state teaching license with an English/Language Arts endorsement for grades 6–12.
- Indiana and/or Minnesota state licensure is preferred.
- Have experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings.
- Be able to teach live on camera for at least five consecutive hours per day on every instructional day.
- Have hands-on experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.
- Use student performance data to adjust instruction.
- Be organized and self-directed, with time management skills to manage a full student caseload remotely.
- Maintain certification and stay current on K-12 curriculum, technology, and teaching practices.
- Be willing to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for at least five hours per day on every scheduled instructional day.
- Create an engaging and structured virtual classroom that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Use student performance data to personalize instruction, identify learning gaps, and adapt teaching.
- Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work.
- Maintain accurate records to keep students and families informed and on track.
- Build relationships with students and families through proactive professional communication.
- Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to provide consistent student support.
