Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of experience in a consulting role.
- Bring previous experience leading, mentoring, or supervising consultants, formally or informally.
- Have hands-on experience with configuration and process design using Jira and other Atlassian tools.
- Understand functional best practices, configuration standards, and quality expectations across client engagements.
- Be able to balance team development, employee wellbeing, and professional growth with billable utilization and business objectives.
- Have experience identifying skills gaps and translating them into development plans, coaching initiatives, and training programs.
- Bring strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging technical and business stakeholders.
- Be able to collaborate with Engagement Leads, Project Management, the PMO, Technical Solution Architects, and fellow Team Leads.
- Have organizational and performance-management skills, including setting measurable goals and following through on individual and team success metrics.
- Be comfortable working in a remote-first or hybrid environment using video conferencing, collaboration platforms, and digital communication tools.
- Be available during standard business hours, with flexibility for meetings across time zones, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or extended hours.
- Be willing to travel occasionally for internal meetings and onsite client requirements.
- Have a dedicated professional remote workspace with reliable internet connectivity and consistent availability.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Functional Consultants, set expectations and priorities, hold regular one-on-ones, and manage goals, reviews, feedback, and performance gaps.
- Monitor team morale and engagement, address concerns, and support recruitment through candidate reviews, interviews, and evaluation feedback.
- Define and maintain configuration, process-design, and solution-documentation standards with Technical Solution Architects.
- Conduct periodic quality reviews, track findings through resolution, and coach consultants to improve deliverable quality.
- Identify recurring quality issues, risks, and opportunities to improve functional practices; support complex design decisions and align standards with peer Team Leads.
- Maintain career plans, assess advancement readiness, and prepare promotion recommendations using engagement results, quality reviews, and stakeholder feedback.
- Recommend consultant staffing based on skills, certifications, availability, client requirements, and development goals; identify skill gaps and training opportunities.
- Monitor workload, capacity, underutilization, and burnout risks, and recommend solutions.
- Own junior consultant onboarding and development, including documented processes, training requirements, ramp-up plans, shadowing, and learning objectives.
- Set junior consultant readiness criteria, coordinate assessments, coach candidates, and track time-to-billable metrics.
