Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Be proficient in a modern programming language; Go and TypeScript are preferred.
- Have experience designing, building, and operating production software products.
- Have practical experience integrating large language models, AI agents, or AI-powered capabilities into software applications.
- Understand APIs, distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, and application architecture.
- Have experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native application development.
- Have experience building reliable, testable systems using automated validation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Be able to evaluate technical trade-offs, resolve ambiguity, and independently deliver complex engineering solutions.
- Preferred: experience building AI agent orchestration systems, coding agents, or AI-powered developer tools.
- Preferred: familiarity with LLM evaluation, tool calling, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and agent execution frameworks.
- Preferred: experience with secure sandboxing, isolated execution environments, or Kata Containers.
- Preferred: familiarity with Zarf, Helm, Kubernetes operators, software packaging workflows, or software supply chain security.
Responsibilities
- Build workflows that help users create, package, validate, maintain, and prepare mission applications for deployment.
- Develop systems combining AI reasoning with deterministic tools, automated validation, and human oversight.
- Create isolated development environments for running AI agents and building software securely.
- Integrate Kubernetes, UDS packaging, containers, and software delivery tools into automated development workflows.
- Build systems for persistent application state, asynchronous execution, and complex development processes.
- Develop testing and validation capabilities for generated software and packaged applications.
- Own the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of complex features and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues involving Kubernetes, virtualization, storage, networking, and operating systems.
- Improve software security, performance, observability, maintainability, and operational resilience.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, Engineering, and end users; review code, mentor teammates, and document technical decisions.
