Requirements
- Have six to fifteen years of backend engineering experience.
- Bring substantial experience designing and building backend systems at high-growth startups.
- Have experience at staff level or above, with a record of taking on increasing responsibility and progressing in your career.
- Have strong backend and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Have a modern technology background.
- Have a track record of building with users in mind, engaging with customers, and iterating based on feedback.
- Bring strong communication skills and product judgment.
- Be interested in writing and discussing product specifications.
- Have a degree in computer science, mathematics, or electrical engineering, or equivalent strong technical fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Design and improve backend systems for warehouse query performance, including query optimization and precomputed state.
- Build analytics and experimentation capabilities that help customers create audiences, choose data to sync, and measure outcomes.
- Explore real-time audience computation and syncing as data warehouses adopt change data capture and other real-time technologies.
- Investigate ways generative AI can make customer workflows for acting on data more seamless.
- Collaborate on product specifications and incorporate customer feedback into system and product decisions.
- Make architectural decisions that support scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
