Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field; one year of related experience may substitute for one year of education.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in IT business analysis, software implementation, systems analysis, or related fields.
- Experience leading requirements gathering, business process analysis, documentation, testing, validation, and implementation support.
- Experience creating requirements specifications, process flows, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, and test scripts.
- Preferred: experience supporting technology implementations in energy efficiency, utilities, or related sectors.
- Preferred: experience with SaaS platforms or configurable enterprise applications.
- Preferred: working knowledge of SQL and experience analyzing or validating system data.
- Preferred: experience with Microsoft Power BI, Cognos, or similar reporting and business intelligence tools.
- Preferred: experience with system integrations, APIs, data exchanges, or cross-system data validation.
- Preferred: experience with Jira or similar requirements, issue-tracking, and software delivery tools.
- Preferred: understanding of Agile and other software development methodologies, including change, configuration, release, and defect management.
- Preferred: experience mentoring junior analysts or providing technical guidance.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities for technology delivery, including requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation, testing, validation, and implementation support.
- Work with business and program stakeholders to understand processes and translate needs into business and system requirements.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering, process-mapping, and validation sessions.
- Analyze business processes and system functionality to identify opportunities in efficiency, data quality, reporting, and user experience.
- Develop and review requirements specifications, process flows, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, test scripts, and user documentation.
- Lead and coordinate business and user acceptance testing, including execution, results documentation, issue tracking, retesting, and validation.
- Liaise between program stakeholders and technology teams to clarify requirements, priorities, issues, and expected outcomes.
- Support data analysis, reporting, data integration validation, and cross-system data validation.
- Manage assigned analysis activities or workstreams and communicate status, risks, dependencies, and issues to project leadership.
- Support end-user readiness, training, implementation, and adoption; provide guidance to junior business analysts.
