Requirements
- Have or be willing to obtain a Compact Nursing License.
- Physically reside in and work from a current Compact U.S. state.
- Have 3+ years of experience as a registered nurse.
- Have experience in a fast-paced environment such as ED, Surgical Services, or Critical Care.
- Be fluent in English.
- Be comfortable using technology and accessing multiple applications remotely.
- Be able to type and document during calls.
- Have high-speed fiberoptic or coaxial cable internet and connect the company laptop directly to the modem.
- Have a quiet, private, HIPAA-compliant home workspace.
- Be available for weekday shifts, two out of every three weekends, and rotating holidays.
- Be able to complete three weeks of orientation and training.
- Maintain CEUs required by the states where calls are answered and keep the home-state license active.
Responsibilities
- Answer patient and family calls on the nurse advice line.
- Communicate with patients and families with empathy while following client protocols.
- Document calls using multiple applications.
- Work rotating weekday shifts and Saturday and Sunday weekend shifts.
- Complete the three-week remote training and orientation.
- Attend in-services and additional training as needed.
- Maintain CEUs required by the states where calls are answered.
- Keep the home-state nursing license active and in good standing.
