Requirements
- Hold a B.A. or B.S. in Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Have 8+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or business analytics roles.
- Bring expertise writing complex, performance-optimized SQL on massive datasets.
- Have experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Trino.
- Understand statistical inference, A/B test design, and causal reasoning, including confidence intervals, statistical power, and noisy-experiment failure modes.
- Be proficient with Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
- Break ambiguous business problems into structured analyses and actionable recommendations.
- Connect technical findings to revenue, margin, and partner impact.
- Present and explain technical concepts to audiences ranging from engineering teams to C-level leadership.
- Build structured presentations, defend recommendations, and handle questions and pushback.
- Be able to mentor others, lead cross-functional projects, and drive organizational change through data insights.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex, ambiguous business and technical questions and influence roadmap and operational decisions.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale datasets and develop reproducible analytics workflows.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and triage issues involving product performance and business KPIs.
- Build and automate dashboards, ad-hoc analysis tools, and reporting pipelines using SQL, Looker, and/or Tableau.
- Translate technical concepts, including ML model changes, SDK upgrades, and auction mechanics, into business impact analysis.
- Lead projects from ideation and scoping through technical execution and operational rollout.
- Mentor analysts on technical practices, business context, and communication.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Finance teams on initiatives.
