Requirements
- Have 5+ years of development experience.
- Have a bachelor’s degree; additional work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Have experience working on large-scale, complex applications.
- Have experience with Java, AWS, Lambda, and event-driven architecture.
- Have experience with REST API development and GraphQL.
- Be familiar with databases including Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, and DynamoDB.
- Know best practices and patterns for large-scale applications.
- Have strong automated testing habits covering unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Care about accuracy and data integrity in systems that handle money.
- Have billing, pricing, or payments domain experience.
- Demonstrate teamwork and communication.
Responsibilities
- Build systems for BILL’s subscription and pricing.
- Develop a scalable, modular billing engine.
- Build a platform that lets internal teams enable billing for new products quickly.
- Develop the customer-facing pricing experience in the UI.
- Develop the customer-facing upgrade and downgrade experience in the UI.
