Requirements
- Have at least 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or in a similar role supporting business and technology initiatives.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Systems Analysis, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
- Have experience eliciting, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.
- Have experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Be able to translate business needs into user stories, process flows, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, including identifying process inefficiencies and recommending practical improvements.
- Use SQL independently to analyze data, identify trends, validate requirements, investigate business issues, and support KPI development.
- Communicate complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Organize and manage multiple assignments while working independently and collaboratively.
- Preferred: experience supporting analytics, business intelligence, data science, or data engineering teams.
- Preferred: knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management; familiarity with Azure DevOps and Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Preferred: familiarity with Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud analytics platforms, and experience with AI technologies including prompt engineering, model training and tuning, and large language models.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify strategic objectives, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, reporting, and data requirements.
- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical specifications.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to assess performance, identify trends, and investigate issues.
- Help define and maintain KPIs, metrics, business rules, and reporting requirements.
- Evaluate business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and user experience.
- Support business cases and cost-benefit analyses, including assessment of potential impacts and risks.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, solution demonstrations, stakeholder reviews, and feedback sessions.
- Support prioritization and delivery of analytics and technology solutions, monitor implementations, and recommend improvements.
- Maintain project documentation and communicate findings, recommendations, and updates to technical and non-technical audiences.
