Requirements
- Have a minimum of 1 year of benefit experience.
- Have experience with Managed Medicare and Managed Medicaid.
- Demonstrate strong PC skills.
- Bring strong customer service and telephone skills.
- Demonstrate strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be able to work 10:30am–7:00pm EST.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Verify home health care benefits for new home health and hospice clients.
- Contact insurance companies by phone and internet to obtain benefit and billing information in a timely manner.
- Document benefits and communicate coverage information to internal service offices.
- Assist service offices with benefits-related correspondence.
- Work with various departments to coordinate coverage, authorization, and contract status.
