Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in software quality assurance.
- Relevant experience testing Oracle Retail Xstore or comparable retail point-of-sale (POS) applications.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, test planning, test execution, and defect management.
- Experience developing and maintaining test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test documentation.
- Practical experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Knowledge of retail business processes, including POS transactions, sales processing, promotions, pricing, and inventory interactions.
- Experience validating integrations between retail applications and connected enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with enterprise defect tracking and test management tools.
- Understanding of Agile or other iterative software development methodologies.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and technical documentation and translate them into testing strategies.
- QA leadership or technical coordination experience, including test planning, task allocation, mentoring, or quality oversight, is a plus.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages, API testing, database validation, SQL, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and coordinate QA strategies, test plans, and testing approaches for Oracle Retail Xstore applications and related retail solutions.
- Guide functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing activities.
- Review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to identify test scenarios, coverage gaps, dependencies, and risks.
- Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, test data, and supporting documentation for retail workflows and system integrations.
- Coordinate test execution across project teams and communicate testing status, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Manage defect identification, documentation, prioritization, tracking, retesting, and resolution with development and business teams.
- Support integration testing between Xstore and connected retail systems, including enterprise applications, interfaces, and services.
- Assess test results, outstanding defects, and quality risks to support release readiness.
- Support Agile delivery practices and improve QA processes, reusable testing assets, automation, and reporting.
