- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years in billing, accounts receivable, collections, or related finance operations.
- 2+ years leading or mentoring a team.
- Advanced understanding of billing, collections, account reconciliation, and revenue operations.
- Experience resolving complex billing disputes and managing escalations.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience with ERP, CRM, and financial systems.
- Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Professional certifications in accounting, finance, revenue operations, or credit and collections are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop Billing and Collections Specialists, including onboarding, goal setting, and performance reviews.
- Set team priorities, allocate workload, and hold the team to accuracy and cash collection targets.
- Own billing accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
- Resolve billing discrepancies, credits, adjustments, and invoicing issues, and serve as the escalation point for complex cases.
- Set the collections strategy for strategic and high-value accounts and manage escalations.
- Reduce aging receivables and improve cash flow.
- Own AR aging, collections, and cash flow forecast reporting; track KPIs, identify trends and risks, and provide leadership recommendations.
- Lead automation, standardization, and process improvement initiatives; own internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance for billing and collections.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Finance to resolve accounts.
