Requirements
- Have 1+ years of professional backend or platform engineering experience building production systems other teams depend on, such as ingestion, sync, or event-driven pipelines.
- Demonstrate strong backend fundamentals and experience building APIs using REST or gRPC.
- Work with services backed by relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL.
- Have evolved schemas on live tables.
- Understand correctness concerns including idempotency, ordering, retries versus permanent failures, and dead-letter handling.
- Have deployed containerized services to AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Have debugged services using metrics, traces, and logs and participated in an on-call rotation.
- Helpful experience includes Kafka, Temporal, change data capture such as Debezium, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with identity data such as accounts, entitlements, service accounts, and API keys is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate systems that transform high volumes of identity data from third-party integrations for product consumers.
- Ensure identity data systems deliver correctness, freshness, and operational rigor.
- Contribute to the technical vision for data infrastructure serving engineering, product, and AI teams.
- Establish SLOs, observability, and operational tooling to catch and remediate failures before they reach customers.
- Promote and implement software engineering best practices for scalable, reliable, and secure data-centric applications.
