Requirements
- Have 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer, UI Designer, or in a similar design role.
- Have at least 1 year contributing to a design system in production.
- Provide a portfolio showing production-quality UI, systematic thinking, components and patterns built, and the reasoning behind them.
- Demonstrate strong visual design craft across typography, colour, spacing systems, layout grids, and responsive behaviour.
- Have hands-on experience contributing to, maintaining, or evolving a design system, including design tokens and component documentation.
- Have experience running design QA against a spec or component library and identifying UI inconsistencies and design debt.
- Have working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA as it applies to components, including focus states, contrast, keyboard operation, and semantics.
- Have advanced knowledge of Figma, including components, auto-layout, variables, and prototyping.
- Have experience working closely with engineering teams.
- Have experience using AI tools to accelerate design work and improve workflows.
- Be located and authorised to work in Germany, France, the UK, or Armenia.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of design system components, patterns, tokens, and documentation.
- Own and improve assigned design system components and patterns throughout their lifecycle.
- Support design system adoption and consistency across product teams, following the approach set by the design system lead.
- Participate in design QA and reviews to identify visual inconsistencies, incorrect component usage, and gaps between design and implementation.
- Log, triage, and follow design issues through to a fix with engineering.
- Identify and help reduce design debt and UI inconsistencies across the product.
- Create high-quality UI solutions using the design system and established product patterns when needed.
- Build accessibility into owned components to meet WCAG 2.2 AA, and document accessible behavior.
- Collaborate with Product Designers, PMs, and Engineers to ensure designs are practical, consistent, and implemented accurately.
- Share design best practices and AI workflow experience through design reviews and team sessions.
