Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience building and scaling backend Python-based systems in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrate experience developing REST APIs.
- Write performant SQL.
- Have experience building with AWS infrastructure.
- Have experience building systems from scratch and making trade-offs.
- Be able to execute autonomously in early-stage environments.
- Bring a customer-focused mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Be able to navigate ambiguity while delivering value to customers.
- Bring a collaborative mindset and ability to be mentored.
- Be based in the US or Canada; NYC-based candidates must be able to work from the Flatiron office at least 2 days/week.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the technical vision for the product.
- Develop and maintain low-latency, massively scalable developer-facing APIs.
- Build and maintain a robust data platform supporting the data science team.
- Design and implement systems that support product and company growth.
- Debug production issues across all levels of the stack.
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver value.
